UK release for the gPhone [T-Mobile G1]

T-Mobile, HTC and Google have officially announced the G. This is the world first handset to run on Google’s Android Operating System. Also known under its codename the "HTC Dream" the G1 and it has already been released in the USA on the 22nd October and will be released in the UK on the 30th October.

Why this phone is so special? More than the phone itself, it the operating system which is special, it is the first to be produced by a non phone/computer manufacturer. It's also open source, so people around the world can develop applications for the phone, but contrary to the iPhone apps store which is managed and filtered by Apple, this will be an open platform, so anyone can load any apps. Third main aspect, it's Google who designed the operating system. They conquered the web with an easy to use Google search engine; will they conquer the mobile phone market?
